The Zaza vs. The Hoxton: Which Sweetwater 5×5 is Right for Me?

By Mackenzie

So, you’ve decided that Sweetwater is the perfect apartment complex for you! Now, the next step is choosing the perfect floor plan for you and your roommates!

If you are planning on living with four other people, Sweetwater’s 5x5s are an excellent choice. Sweetwater has two 5×5 floor plans: The Zaza and The Hoxton. While these layouts are both great options and have many similarities, they also have a few key differences that set them apart. To help you decide which 5×5 at Sweetwater is right for you, we’ve created this article comparing the features of both floor plans.

Comparing The Zaza and The Hoxton

The Zaza

The Zaza 3D

Square feet: 1,566

Number of windows: 6

There is one Zaza on each floor of Sweetwater from levels three through ten. This floor plan is situated with the living room and kitchen spaces in the center of the apartment, and the in-unit washer and dryer are located in the kitchen.

The kitchen has a massive island with five barstools on one side. The living room features a large window to allow in plenty of natural light, which adds to the open concept of the floor plan.

In The Zaza, one of the bedrooms is located off the living room, and long hallways branching off from the main living space lead you to two additional bedrooms in each direction.

The defining feature of The Zaza is that all five bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom A has a shower/ tub combo, while the other four rooms have walk-in showers.

There are two Hoxtons on each floor of Sweetwater from levels three through ten. The kitchen and living room are located at one end of the apartment, while a long hallway leads to the bedrooms and in-unit washer and dryer.

The kitchen in The Hoxton features a large peninsula with five barstools. In this floor plan, you’ll find an especially spacious living area that has two windows, allowing for plenty of natural light to flow into the common space. Just off the kitchen is also an additional storage closet.

In The Hoxton, one bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the rest of the rooms have bathrooms located across the hallway. All five bathrooms have sleek walk-in showers.

Sweetwater’s meticulously crafted kitchens feature tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops.

When deciding which floor plan is best for you and your roommates, it’s helpful to make a list of what is most important to you. Then, you can evaluate the features of each floor plan and see how they compare to your wants and needs.

Unit Size and Layout

Both of the 5×5 floor plan options have plenty of space for five roommates to live comfortably.

While The Zaza and The Hoxton are the same in terms of square footage, the spaces are laid out very differently. Some of The Zaza’s space is dedicated to long hallways leading to each bedroom, but each of the five bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms. On the other hand, The Hoxton’s bright, spacious living area is perfect for hosting guests or having a movie night with all of your roommates.
