Flow of Traffic

In order to ensure a smooth move-in experience and limit traffic on nearby streets, it is imperative to follow the traffic flow as illustrated in the map.

  • Drive east on W. University Ave
  • Turn right onto SW 12th St to enter the move-in line. You will not be able to enter the line from any other street.
  • Follow the line onto SW Alligator Alley where a Sweetwater team member will meet you.

You may only bring one car through the move-in line.

Move-in Day Parking

Street parking is first come, first served. Another option is the Downtown SouthWest Garage.

If you have added parking to your lease, you can park in the Sweetwater garage however you will not be able to leave the garage until after VIP move-in ends.

You won’t be able to move your car out of the garage during move-in, so please plan accordingly.

What to Expect on Move-in Day

The White Glove Move-in Process
August 13-14

  • At your designated move-in time, pull into the move-in line using the directional map above.
  • Once you’ve pulled into the move-in line, our team will ask for your ID, verify that you’ve completed your move-in checklist, and provide your move-in packet with keys!
  • Professional movers will meet you at your car, unload all of your items from your car, and transport them to your unit for you. After your vehicle is unloaded, you will move out of the check-in line and park.
  • Enjoy free Daydreamer from 9am – 4pm, plus water stations.
  • End the day at our parents’ welcome happy hour from 4pm – 6pm.

Standard Move-in Day

  • If you signed up for Standard Move-in, please arrive at Sweetwater during leasing office hours to pick up your keys.
  • Monday – Friday: 10am – 6pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 4pm
  • Sunday: 1pm – 4pm
  • You will still need to complete everything on your move-in checklist before you can pick up your keys.

Move-in Time Assignments

All unit numbers are formatted as Unit Number-Bedspace. For example, if your unit assignment is 523-A, then your unit number is 523 and your bedspace is bedroom A.

The first number of your unit assignment is indicative of the floor your unit is on. For example, if your unit number is 523, you’re on floor 5. If your unit number is 1018, you’re on floor 10 (not floor 1!).

Move-in times vary by floor, so please look closely as to which time slot applies to you.

August 13
White Glove Move-in

  • 9:00am – 11:00am – Levels 6-10
  • 12:00pm – 3:00pm – Levels 1-4

August 14
White Glove Move-in

  • 9:00am – 11:00am – Levels 6-10
  • 12:00pm – 3:00pm – Levels 1-4

August 15
Standard Move-In Day (Due to high volume of move-ins, we will be scheduling move-ins this day)

  • 9:00am – 10:00am – Level 10
  • 10:00am – 11:00am – Level 9
  • 11:00am – 12:00pm – Level 8
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm – Level 7
  • 1:00pm – 2:00pm – Level 6
  • 2:00pm – 3:00pm – Level 5
  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm – Level 4
  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm – Level 3, 2 & 1

Complete This Checklist Before Move In

You will not be able to move in until everything on your checklist is complete!

Access the Resident Portal

The resident portal is your hub to all things Sweetwater. In the portal, you can pay your balance owed, submit a maintenance request, or contact the property. You can always find the resident portal link in the header and footer of the Sweetwater website.

Move-in Day FAQs

We will be offering white glove move-in services on August 13th and 14th for $199/resident.  No heavy lifting and back-and-forth in the Florida heat on move-in day! Professional movers will meet you at your car, unload all of your items from your car, and transport them to your unit for you. All you have to do is park the car, grab your keys, and head straight to your unit!

White glove move-in service will only be available to those who signed up for VIP Early Move-in. If you choose not to sign up, limited move-in assistance will be available.

It is important to show up at your scheduled move-in time so that we can accommodate all residents. If you show up outside of your move-in window, you may be asked to come back at a later time.

Rent installments are due on the 1st of each month and considered late at 11:59pm on the 3rd. A $50 late charge will be added to your portal account.

Additionally, you will not be able to receive your keys until the August balance on your Resident Portal has been paid.

If you have added parking to your lease, you can park in the Sweetwater garage however you will not be able to leave the garage until after white glove move-in ends, so please plan accordingly.

If you do not have parking through Sweetwater, street parking is first come, first served. Another option is the Downtown SouthWest Garage.

The resident or guarantor are the only people that can pick up keys. If the guarantor is picking up keys, the resident must let the leasing office know in writing prior to move-in day and have a valid Photo ID present. If you intend to have your guarantor pick up your keys, please notify us at [email protected].

We will have Sweetwater staff located around the building to assist. They will be dressed in Sweetwater shirts!

Due to the large number of tenants moving in, please only bring two people with you to assist with move-in.

We ask that you only bring one car with your belongings – our movers will unload your vehicle in the moving line!

Office hours during move-in weekend will be as follows:

  • Friday, August 15: 8am – 6pm
  • Saturday, August 16: 10am – 4pm
  • Sunday, August 17: 1pm – 4pm

All Maintenance Requests can be filled out on your Resident Portal.

Please note: we are unable to respond to or manage maintenance requests via text or DM. All maintenance requests must be submitted using the method described above.

 

For emergency maintenance requests, please call the main line at (352) 604-5695. During office hours, you will report the emergency to the staff. After hours, select the emergency maintenance request option.

Trash should be placed in the trash chutes available on each floor. Please do not put cardboard down the shoot or it will clog and back up trash for the whole property. Instead, please break your boxes down and leave them in the trash room. Do not leave your empty packaging in the mail room, this makes it difficult for other residents to find their packages!

Packages and mail cannot be delivered to Sweetwater until move-in day. Mail will be available for pick up in your mailbox, and packages will be located in the package room.
